Annie Young is seeking re-election to a citywide seat on the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. As an At-Large Commissioner, Annie is a steward of our beautiful natural environment and an advocate for making the parks accessible to all.

Annie’s Park Interests and Efforts:

  • Sustainability
  • Protect open, green space as PUBLIC space
  • Financial stability
  • Community involvement and participation
  • Equal access to park resources
  • Renew and restore our urban forests
  • Continue efforts to restore water quality throughout the entire system
  • Add “Ping-Pong” and other lifelong recreational opportunities

    • Annie believes it is her duty to protect the crown jewels of our city.

    As a citywide Commissioner since 1989, she brings a broad vision and deep institutional memory of the park system to her job. The independence of the Park Board is paramount and she is committed to caring for the legacy of this 126 year old system.
